The problems to research:
•Urban space – a trap or a hiding place?
•The response of urban communities to the Holocaust.
•Scars on the body of the city – places of shootings, prisons, forced labor camps, ghettoes.
•Empty (abandoned) spaces in the city.
• Places of (non) remembrance.
•The city as a space for interethnic relations in the Holocaust.
The proposed special issue is planned as multidisciplinary and will include articles by historians, political scientists, sociologists, and ethno-psychologists engaged in urban studies and the Holocaust.
The articles will be peer-reviewed by Ukrainian and foreign experts.
In the focus of research: Central and Eastern Europe.
The special issue languages are Ukrainian and English.
