Presentation of the animated video “The man with the face”

Today, at 14.00, the presentation of the animated video “The man with the face, dedicated to the Righteous among the Nations Yakiv Sukhenko, who rescued Jews in Rivne during the Holocaust, took place in the conference room of the “Myr” Hotel.
The film was made based on a memoir "Escape from destiny” by Varvara Barats, whose life was saved by Yakiv Sukhenko.

In 1983, Yakiv Sukhenko was given the honorary title of the Righteous among the Nations, which is awarded by the State of Israel to those who saved Jews from murder during the Second World War in the Nazi-occupied Europe. Yakiv Sukhenko is one of 2,573 Ukrainians who helped save Jews during the war and were given this title.
