Presentation of the virtual “Museum of One Street” of the city of Rivne and the documentary "Uprising of the Doomed"

On January 27, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., in the conference hall of the Optima Hotel (Rivne, 9 Slovatskoho Street) there will be a presentation of the virtual “Museum of One Street” of the city of Rivne and the documentary "Uprising of the Doomed".
These products have been created by the NGO “Mnemonics” as part of the project “Counteracting Anti-Semitism and Xenophobia through the Promotion of the Multi-Ethnic Past of the Region”, supported by the Democracy Commission Small Grants Program of the U.S. Embassy to Ukraine.

The virtual “Museum of One Street” consists of two components. The first is the AR-experience of the multi-ethnic Rivne of the 1930s and the disappearance of the Polish and Jewish populations as a result of the crimes of totalitarian regimes. The second component of the museum is posted on the official website of the NGO “Mnemonics”. It includes stories about individual buildings, photographs, audio tracks, and more.

The documentary “Uprising of the Doomed” is a story about the uprising of the Jews in Tuchyn ghetto during the Holocaust. It was the first uprising of ghetto prisoners in Ukraine.
The presentation will be attended by an American diplomat (US Embassy in Ukraine), Assistant Cultural Attaché of the Press, Education and Culture Department of the Democracy Foundation of the US Embassy in Ukraine Tetiana Podobinska-Shtyk, eyewitness in Tuchyn ghetto Laura Oberlender (Khomut), and scientists and public figures from the United States.
