The action was initiated by members of the Ukrainian and Polish civil organizations, which advocate a good neighborly dialogue between the two countries. Speakers at the flash mob said that the 100-year-old conflict is a lesson from which we have to draw the right conclusions, especially when faced with emerging threats and clashes around "historical memories". There were thoughts about the significant experience of Ukrainian-Polish military cooperation, when the soldiers of S. Petliura and Yu. Pilsudski fought side-by-side for the independence of the two states: Poland and Ukraine. It was also said that the principles of cooperation and communication between the two countries, developed over the last decades, should form the basis of their further dialogue.
There was a prayer and a minute’s silence to commemorate the dead.
